Monique Curnen

An actress with a burgeoning career in film, television and theater, Monique Gabriela Curnen was most recently seen in the critically acclaimed feature Half Nelson, opposite Ryan Gosling. She can soon be seen in Justin Lin's martial arts satire Finishing the Game, which opens in theaters this fall and is distributed by IFC Films. Curnen is completing work on Christopher Nolan's Batman: The Dark Knight, where she stars opposite Gary Oldman (Lt. James Gordon) as a rookie detective on the Gotham City police force. Ms. Curnen will also appear in the upcoming HBO film Doris and Bernard with Susan Sarandon and Ralph Fiennes for director Bob Balaban.

Curnen's other credits include Joshua Marston's critically acclaimed Sundance favorite Maria Full of Grace, M. Night Shyamalan's Lady in the Water, as well as the upcoming features Anamorph starring Willem Dafoe, and Che directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Benicio del Toro. The actress' extensive theater credits include the 2005 Drama Desk nominee "Pentecost" by David Edgar; "Sonnets for an Old Century" by Academy Award nominee Jose Rivera; "The Crossroads"; "Alladeen"; "Yo Soy Latina" by Linda Nieves Powell; and "The 52nd Street Project – One-on-Ones" for the Ensemble Studio Theater. Ms. Curnen has made numerous notable guest star appearances on "House, M.D.," "Without A Trace," "Journeyman," "Dexter," "Shark" and the Barry Levinson-produced Fox series "The Jury."
